Pro Trainer Training Drills

Receive/Turn and shoot

Moderate rolling ball

In step control: Right instep control and then turn the ball and shoot to target on rebound goal. Y players check to the rebound off the net and then turn and dribble the ball through cones and return ball to machine and back to their line. X players control, turn, shoot, and thenrelease to cones and perform fast feet moves through cones. They then return to their line.

6-8 minutes and then trade groups. Y now takes the serve and X rebounds and dribbles.

Progression:

  1. Vary turns (relevant to groups ability)after first touch: side step one side: shift other side:step across: right foot stop: left instep pass: roll over
  2. Shift ball to next square on 1 touch before pass: 1st time pass

Moderate air ball- same progression as above on these controls

Laces control

Thigh control

Chest control

Always mirror the setup for the other side. Work on right feet for 8 minutes and then shift the lines over and work on the left side. No moving the ball machine with this setup.
